At Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery, we understand it's not always easy for you and your dog to be apart, but with our experienced animal-loving team, they're in safe hands.
Whether you require short or long-term accommodation, we have the facilities to meet your needs. We welcome all breeds to stay in our clean and comfortable kennels.
Our kennel facilities offer:
A bright, relaxed boarding environment.
We are very fortunate to have a specialist kennel block which we keep for the tiny, timid, frail or elderly dogs.
Our kennels are bright and airy, and have individual covered outside runs with substantial overhang for protection from the elements. We are one of very few kennels that have safety corridors.
Smoke detectors fitted to both kennel blocks, programmed to an alarmed control panel within our house.
We have several kennels which we can see from our kitchen and office window. These are very useful for dogs who may have behavioural problems, or who just need constant monitoring.
Kennels are fully heated when necessary and benefit from uPVC doors and windows.
All our dogs are exercised individually twice daily on our flexi leads in our enclosed secure exercise area. Always receiving the exercise and attention they need.
To help your dog settle in, we encourage you to bring familiar items from home, such as a favourite toy or blanket.
Dogs will receive lots of contact from us throughout the day, which will help them settle in and become familiar with us. Each animal is treated as an individual.
Wide selection of quality complete dried and tinned food available
We are happy to administer medication and prescription diets with prior notice at no extra charge.
Your own veterinary surgeon will be asked to attend if necessary.
Purpose built dog isolation facility.
We want our guests to enjoy their stay to the full, and we will treat your dog as we do our own.
Please note: Dogs must be vaccinated against distemper, hepatitis, parvovirus, para influenza and leptospirosis annually. A kennel cough vaccination is also required, this must be given at least 21 days prior to boarding. It will be obvious to all caring owners that maintaining regular annual vaccinations is the best way to protect your animal at all times.
