TERMS AND CONDITIONS
These Terms & Conditions Set Out An Agreement Between 'You' The Pet Owner & Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery. Upon Making A Booking You Agree To These Terms And Conditions.
Please Read These Carefully For The Benefit Of Both You & Your Pet
These Terms and Conditions are in place to ensure the sustainability of our business and to enable us to continue providing a viable and professional service to you in the future.
These Terms and Conditions establish a binding agreement between you, the pet owner (or your authorised representative), and Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery.
By making a booking with us at any time, you agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions on every occasion that your pet is boarded with us. Terms and conditions are available to view on our website, via KennelBooker and in reception.
TERMS AND CONDITIONS
DEPOSITS
To secure your booking we ask for a 25% deposit at the time of booking. This will be deducted from your final invoice.
Please make this payment within 24 hours, as we can only hold provisional bookings for that time. If the payment isn’t received, the reservation will be automatically cancelled.
All deposits are non-refundable and non-transferable.
PAYMENTS
Your booking balance is due 14 days before your pet arrives.
Don’t worry – Kennelbooker will automatically send you a reminder email 2 days before the payment deadline. Failure to pay the balance by this deadline will result in your booking being cancelled.
For any bookings made within 14 days of arrival, full payment is required at the time of booking.
You agree to cover any veterinary care or costs that may arise due to injury or illness during your pet’s stay.
Any additional costs incurred must be settled in full at the time of collection.
Accepted payment methods: debit/credit card or BACS.
CANCELLATIONS AND CHANGES
As a small, family-run business, last minute changes have a significant impact on our ability to operate efficiently.
We no longer offer a traditional cancellation policy.
If you choose to cancel your booking at any time, please let us know as soon as possible so we may be able to re‑let the accommodation.
All cancellations must be submitted via email.
Any payments (deposit and remaining balance) already made cannot be refunded.
If you collect your pet earlier than scheduled, no refund will be issued for unused days. If the booking is extended, additional boarding fees will apply for the extra days.
If your pet is not fully vaccinated and we are therefore unable to board them, no refund will be issued.
VACCINATIONS
It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure all vaccinations are completed within the required time frame.
If you fail to provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations at the time of boarding, or if vaccinations are expired or incomplete, boarding will be refused and no refund will be issued.
All pets must have had their booster within the previous 12 months (365 days)
Dogs must be fully vaccinated against:
• Distemper
• Hepatitis
• Parvovirus
• Para-Influenza
• Leptospirosis
• Kennel Cough (Canine Infectious Bronchitis)
Kennel Cough Vaccine Notice: This is a live vaccine. Your dog must not board within 21 days of receiving the vaccine.
Cats must be fully vaccinated against:
• Feline Influenza
• Feline Leukaemia
• Feline Infectious Enteritis
SHARING
(only pets from the same household)
Any owners wishing their pets to share a housing unit do so at their own risk. Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery will accept no liability for any injuries arising as a direct result of your pets boarding together. We may decide to separate your pets, entirely at our discretion, if we feel it is in their best interest. You must understand that it may not always be possible to separate them during peak times, however, should we have the space you will be charged the daily rate for any extra accommodation.
MEDICATION
We are happy to administer medications (excluding injections)
Please provide clear written instructions and sufficient medication for the duration of your pets’ stay.
We will always do our best to administer medication, but it may not be possible if your pet is unwilling or resistant.
We will not be held responsible for any medical conditions that reoccur during their stay.
BEHAVIOUR
We do not accept pets that are:
• Aggressive
• Destructive
• Un-handleable
If such behaviours occur during boarding, we will do our best to manage the situation. In extreme cases, we may contact you to arrange early collection.
GENERAL
Please ensure your pet is up to date with flea and worm treatments prior to boarding.
The owner warrants that their pet is fit and healthy upon arrival.
Owners must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, illnesses, or behavioural issues.
Pets will only be accepted or released within our opening hours.
A drop off and collection time must be arranged and agreed in advance.
No owners will be allowed to settle their pets into their pets accommodation.
We accept no liability for any loss or injury that may occur in the reception or car park areas.
It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure all collars, leads, harnesses are properly fitted, and that all cat carriers are safe, secure and suitable.
The emergency contact you provide must be someone located in the UK who is aware you have given their number to us and is available to act on your behalf should we be unable to reach you. They may also be required to arrange the collection of your pet in the unlikely event this becomes necessary.
Animals left without any communications from the owners or emergency contact after the scheduled departure date will be considered abandoned, and Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery reserves the right to act accordingly.
LIMITED LIABILITY
Whilst every care and attention will be given to your pet, Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery will not be held responsible for any illness or injury to your pet, or for loss or damage to their belongings, however caused, during their stay.
All pets are accepted and boarded entirely at the owner’s own risk.
Should your pet develop any illness, injury, or destructive behaviour, Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery will act in the best interest of your pet at their sole discretion, and you agree to assume full financial responsibility for any resulting expenses.
We strongly recommend that you arrange your own pet insurance if not already in place.
VET CONSENT
You give full consent for any medical treatment or procedure that a veterinary professional, or Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery, considers necessary in your absence.
You agree to cover all veterinary costs incurred, and Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery reserves the right to charge reasonable transport and time-related expenses.
You acknowledge that, in these circumstances, you waive your right to restrict data sharing under GDPR.
To support smooth communication and GDPR compliance, please ensure your veterinary practice is informed that your pet is staying with us.
GDPR/Data Protection Policy
1. Purpose of This Policy
This policy explains how Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery collects, uses, stores, and protects personal data in accordance with the UK General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) and the Animal Welfare (Licensing of Activities Involving Animals) (England) Regulations.

Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery processes personal data under the following lawful bases:

• Details of pets in our care
• Veterinary practice details
• Payment information processed securely through Stripe (Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery does not store card details)
4. How Data Is Used
Personal data is used only for:
• Creating and managing bookings
• Ensuring the welfare and safety of animals
• Contacting customers or emergency contacts
• Communicating with veterinary practices in emergencies
• Meeting licensing and inspection requirements
5. Data Storage and Security
• Data is stored securely on KennelBooker, our online booking system.
• KennelBooker keeps information confidential and uses it only to provide the service.
• Payments are processed through Stripe, which receives only the information required to complete transactions.
• CCTV operates on-site for safety and security from the moment customers enter the facility.
6. Data Sharing
Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery does not sell or share personal data except with:
• Local Authority Licensing Officers, who have the legal right to inspect records
• Veterinary practices, including out-of-hours services, when required for animal welfare
• Stripe, for secure payment processing
7. Data Retention
Data is retained only for as long as necessary to meet legal obligations and provide services. Customers may request deletion of their data at any time unless retention is required by law.
If you choose not to allow us to hold your personal data, we will not be able to board your pet.
8. Your Rights
Under GDPR, individuals have the right to:
• Access their personal data
• Correct inaccurate information
• Request deletion of their data
• Withdraw consent
• Raise concerns with the ICO

Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery reserve the right to change terms and conditions at any time.
