These Terms & Conditions Set Out An Agreement Between 'You' The Pet Owner & Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery. Upon Making A Booking You Agree To These Terms And Conditions.
Booking Policy Update - October 2025
To confirm your reservation, we now require a 25% deposit at the time of booking. This deposit will be deducted from your final bill at the end of your pet’s stay.
Please note: this deposit is non-refundable if the booking is cancelled.
Cancellations within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date will incur a non-negotiable cancellation fee, as per our terms and conditions.

These terms and conditions are in place to ensure the sustainability of our business and to enable us to continue providing a viable and professional service to you in the future.
By making a booking with us at any time, you agree to abide by these terms and conditions on every occasion that your pet is boarded with us. Terms and conditions are available to view on our website, and in reception.
Terms and Conditions
DEPOSITS
A 25% deposit is required at the time of booking to confirm your reservation.
This deposit will be deducted from your final bill at the end of your pet’s stay.
Please note: this deposit is non-refundable
in the event of cancellation.
Our cancellation policy still applies.
CANCELLATIONS
Please understand that we are a small, family-run business, and any cancellations or no-shows can have a significant impact on us.
Cancellations made within 14 days of the scheduled arrival date will incur a non-negotiable cancellation fee. Failure to comply to these terms may result in cancellation of any future bookings you have with us.
• Less than 14 days notice before arrival:
You will be liable for 50% of the full booking cost
• Less than 7 days notice before arrival:
You will be liable for 100% of the full booking cost
All cancellations must be submitted via email.
If you collect your pet earlier than scheduled, or make changes to your booking at drop-off, you will still be charged for the full original booking. If the booking is extended, the additional fees will apply for the extra days.
VACCINATIONS
It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure all vaccinations are completed within the required time frame.
If you fail to provide proof of up-to-date vaccinations at the time of boarding, or if vaccinations are expired or incomplete, boarding will be refused and the full booking cost will still be charged.
All pets must have had their booster within the previous 12 months (365 days)
Dogs must be fully vaccinated against:
• Distemper
• Hepatitis
• Parvovirus
• Para-Influenza
• Leptospirosis
• Kennel Cough (Canine Infectious Bronchitis)
Kennel Cough Vaccine Notice: This is a live vaccine. Your dog must not board within 21 days of receiving the vaccine.
Cats must be fully vaccinated against:
• Feline Influenza
• Feline Leukaemia
• Feline Infectious Enteritis
PAYMENT
Account balance and any extra costs incurred must be settled in full at the time of collection.
You agree to cover any veterinary care or costs that may arise due to injury or illness
The day of arrival and departure are both charged at the full daily rate, regardless of early return.
Accepted payment methods: cash or debit/credit card.
MEDICATION
We are happy to administer medications (excluding injections)
Please provide clear written instructions and sufficient medication for the duration of your pets’ stay.
We will always do our best to administer medication, but it may not be possible if your pet is unwilling or resistant.
We will not be held responsible for any medical conditions that reoccur during their stay.
BEHAVIOUR
We do not accept pets that are:
• Aggressive
• Destructive
• Un-handleable
If such behaviours occur during boarding, we will do our best to manage the situation. In extreme cases, we may contact you to arrange early collection.
GENERAL
Please ensure your pet is up to date with flea and worm treatments prior to boarding.
The owner warrants that their pet is fit and healthy upon arrival.
Owners must disclose any pre-existing medical conditions, illnesses, or behavioural issues.
Pets will only be accepted or released within our opening hours.
A drop off and collection time must be arranged and agreed in advance.
No owners will be allowed to settle their pets into their pets accommodation.
The emergency contact you provide must be someone located in the UK who is aware you have given their number to us and is available to act on your behalf should we be unable to reach you. They may also be required to arrange the collection of your pet in the unlikely event this becomes necessary.
It is the owner’s responsibility to ensure all collars, leads, harnesses are properly fitted, and that all cat carriers are safe, secure and suitable.
We accept no liability for any loss or injury that may occur in the reception or car park areas.
Animals left without any communications from the owners or emergency contact after the scheduled departure date will be considered abandoned, and WBK reserves the right to act accordingly.
LIMITED LIABILITY
Whilst every care and attention will be given to your pet, WBK will not be held responsible for any illness or injury to your pet, or for loss or damage to their belongings, however caused, during their stay.
All pets are accepted and boarded entirely at the owner’s own risk.
Should your pet develop any illness, injury, or destructive behaviour, WBK will act in the best interest of your pet at their sole discretion, and you agree to assume full financial responsibility for any resulting expenses.
We strongly recommend that you arrange your own pet insurance if not already in place.
VETERINARY CONSENT
You give full consent for any medical treatment or procedure that a veterinary professional, or WBK, deems necessary in your absence.
You agree to cover all veterinary costs incurred, and WBK reserves the right to charge reasonable transport and time expenses.
You waived your right to restrict data sharing under GDPR in these circumstances.
Please ensure your veterinary practice is informed that your pet is staying with us to facilitate smooth communication and compliance with GDPR regulations.
DATA PROTECTION
In compliance with GDPR and Model Animal Licensing Conditions, your data is recorded and used only as necessary for lawful operations, good animal care, and communication with veterinary services.
By agreeing to these terms and conditions, you consent to WBK keeping both your personal details and your pet’s information on file, and to be contacted when needed.
WBK will store your data securely and process it only fairly and lawfully under GDPR.
Your data will not be shared with any third party, except:
Local Authority Licensing Officers who are entitled to view it
Your veterinary practice, or an out of hours veterinary practice, who may require access to emergency contact information or your address details.
If you no longer wish for your data to be held, or would like a copy of the information we hold, please contact us.
CCTV is in operation from the moment you enter our facility.
WBK is GDPR compliant and registered with ICO. Only necessary data is collected and retained.

Terms and Conditions Agreement
These Terms and Conditions establish a binding agreement between you, the pet owner (or your authorised representative), and Wortham Boarding Kennels and Cattery (“WBK”).
By signing this document, you confirm that:
• You have provided accurate and up-to-date information regarding your pet(s).
• You will promptly inform WBK of any changes to the information provided.
• You have read, understood, and agreed to all terms and conditions outlined by WBK.
